Your itinerary begins at the scenic stairway leading from Piazza di Spagna to Piazza Navona, in ancient times a stadium for athletics commissioned by the Emperor Domitian, today a marvel of the Baroque. En route, you stop off at the famous Fountain of Trevi, an artistic masterpiece and also setting of the film "La Dolce Vita" , the Temple of Emperor Hadrian and the Pantheon, a monument of ancient Rome preserved in its entirety, its enormous dome still considered to be a miraculous feat of engineering today.

SCENIC TOUR OF ROME ON FOOT

Scenic tour and brief introduction to the most important monuments in Rome; a walk that will open the gates of the city and its thousand-year history to you in a constructive and relaxing way.
Starting from the terrace of Castel Sant'Angelo with an all-round view of Rome and the Basilica of St. Peter, you walk through Baroque, Renaissance and Jewish districts to the Tiber Island, the Theatre of Marcellus, the Mouth of Truth and the Circus Maximus, the famous ancient stadium used for chariot-races. From here you continue to a scenic point on the Capitol, from which you can admire the Forum Romanum and the Colosseum. The tour ends at the Altare della Patria, or Altar of the Nation, the monument symbolizing the unity of Italy.

(If you have your own car, the tour also includes a visit to the Baths of Caracalla, the Aventine Hill and St. Peter's Square.)

A journey around Rome's oldest colony that survived for a thousand years up to the fall of the Empire, only to be abandoned and buried for 14 centuries. Remember that in Italy, by law, drivers are not authorized to accompany you while visiting the INSIDE of museums, monuments or churches. They wait outside with the vehicle; however they will give you information about the places where you stop, and the sighs you see on the way to the main attractions. All our drivers are holders of an authorized licence.
